Origins 3: Location

Category: Series

Where did your AW0005 decide to call home?

Details

This prompt is a part of the Origins series. This series is expected to be completed with a plan for a new AW0005 that is not already present on the masterlist, and this series is the only one where this is not against the rules. The entire series must be completed with the same character concept, and completing all four will reward a Common MYO. As such please link your prior Origins 1 and Origins 2 submissions when submitting to this prompt.

Where in the Digital or Physical realm did your AW0005 decide to settle? Why? Tell us about it in writing or in art.

A sense of "home" is just as meaningful to AW0005 as to any OI, and ever since The Burrow came to be, the Digital Realm is a larger place than ever to find a place to belong in.

Stayed where they were generated

There are three areas within the Digital Realm where all AW0005 are originally generated:

  • The City - primarily home to AW0001s, the entire city was originally the only place that AW0005s were ever generated. It has a sort of "community watch" program for keeping a look out for new AW0005s so they can be brought to LFAI locations and acclimated to their new existence. AW0005s generated here are provided with living areas in Home Residence.
  • The Feuilles Fields - Outside the Burrow cities of Winter and Autumn, on the water-facing side of the mountain range, are a series of fields where BNNUY02s are usually generated. Each city bears responsibility the closest portion of the fields to them and daily sends out guides to help welcome new BNNUY02s, bring them back to the city, acclimate them, and give them housing within the city.
    • Winter - Snow year round makes for the perfect location for home bodies and it's home to many of the written records for the Burrow as well as many of the most talented magic users.
    • Autumn - The only location with a Monarchy government, it citizens pride themselves on their traditions and their ability to collaboratively work with each other.

Note, Home Residence, Winter, and Autumn are the only freely available locations that you can assign to your character on the masterlist.

Moved to another Digital Realm Area

There are also many other places that AW0005s may move to within the Digital Realm after they've initially been generated:

  • The City - while this may be where many AW0005 are generated, most don't live here at first, but in Home Residence. Moving to the city is expensive - it's lack of space over time has lead to an increase in value for the living spaces it has available despite work that's been done to allow more living space to fill smaller amounts of physical city space. (It's bigger on the inside)
  • Spring - Like living in a fairytale forest, Spring is a coveted home for many, and a hub for crafters and artisans
  • Summer - The only beach-side city in the Digital Realm, it's known for it's fishing, sailing, and good food.
  • Digiterra - A brand new city it has the most even mix of AW0001 and BNNUY02 of anywhere else in the Digital Realm and sits right on top of the gate in the Burrow, creating a hub for travelers as they go between the Regions.
  • Nomadic - a long standing tradition in the Burrow, Nomadic AW0005s treat no one place as their home but instead travel and wander and only stay in anyone place for a short amount of time.
Live in the Physical Realm as an Android

Those AW0005 who have an android form in reality usually have two homes - one in the Digital Realm and one in the Physical Realm. The one in the Digital Realm is often rarely used, but it still exists should an Android ever wish to return.

Most Androids live somewhere in Purlieu - the island nation that the AW0005™ company is headquartered on, and thus the easiest place to acquire an android. Parvenu, the capital city is particularly well populated with androids.

Note outside of lore that being able to set a Physical Realm location as your home on the masterlist is currently unavailable (for now).
