Callidus Beam

Lives In: The City
Born: 10th July 194VY

A sneaky and usually up to no good reporter.

Callidus Beam is a notorious name among tech companies in Parvenu. He's known for his outlandish ability to get into places he doesn't belong via unusual means - most notably befriending an OI in Gordian Inc., being allowed access to their work tablet as an on-screen companion and then hacking his way into more secure information. His position as a well-known reporter and the backing of the media outlets he works for, is widely regarded as the reason he has only ever faced minimal jail time.

As a result he is also known infamously within AW0005™ as being the source of many required patches to their systems over time.

Personal Life

In The Burrow

Originally generated outside of Winter, Callidus did not take to the stuffy cold region, and eventually tagged along with a nomadic caravan to the city of Summer where he began to develop his notoriety for getting into things he had no business being in. With Summer being a communal farm based city, Callidus profited primarily off of being a very good gossip - farmer's would pay him to find out if their competitors were doing well or experiencing issues with their crop. Doing so often also put him around the most influential farmers - the city council - and soon he was writing and publicizing their inner workings. There were multiple attempts to kick him out of the city, all of which failed.

In The City

In 197VY, the opening of the gates was far more fascinating to Callidus than any farmer drama, and he tagged along with another nomadic caravan to Digiterra and then made his way through the gates into The City on his own. It wasn't long before his intuition for getting into places and finding out information led him into the arms of The Canindae Times - a newspaper already known for it's negative articles, it made a perfect fit for Callidus' propensity to gain access to controversial information. He quickly became their top reporter and their names are almost inextricably linked together whenever mentioned.
