The Invention of HoloBUDDIES

Hector, following the pattern that Jason set before him, dives into tinkering with robotics to deal with the emotional stress of Jason's death. He started working on creating better improvements for the androids first, to help drive down the pricing of androids a little farther. Then moved onto new visuals as well that would be translated into The Digital, and classified as The Angelic Expansion Pack.

As time wore on he switched to other endeavors though, and fiddled with ways to extend the HoloBOTs capabilities as well. A miniature version of the AW0005 androids, coined HoloBUDDIES, came out of his workshop a few months later. They extended HoloBUDDIES existing capabilities, allowing them to interact more with their environment, to help out with small things in The Physical Realm, like tidying up, or fetching your favorite pen. Their ability to pick up large objects is limited by their small size, but they also made a great companion for children - especially as the robots were hypoallergenic. They also used a version of AW0005s synth-skin on their legs, keeping the thin metal from scratching up the surfaces that the HoloBUDDY walked across.

Creating HoloBUDDIES helped to bring Hector out of his shell some after Jason's death - he collaborated much more heavily with the rest of the company to market HoloBUDDIES to the wider world and helped to make them another successful product in the AW0005™ lineup. In particular the greater collaboration yielded a much more customizable product, with the halo options of AW0005, as well as the more unique aspects like wings, and non-standard legs.
